Ecstatic and exhausted. What a combination!
We're selling good ol' Duggins Castle to downsize for a season and save our pennies for our dream of living in the country. This was our second castle, and we don't know yet where our next castle will be--I should probably be scared and worried, but I'm not--talk about living by faith! I'm 100 percent confident God will provide as He sees fit!
I have an equal amount of anticipation riding alongside my current exhaustion, and although I'm looking forward to some rest, I love the feeling of hard work, so I have no complaints--and I'm praising the Lord that He's been taking such good care of us along the way.
I'm reminded of a great message from Di Wilson I heard back in the summer...I can't locate the message online, but my notes were enough of a reminder... it's good to wait...
I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness
in the exuberant earth.
Stay with God!
Take heart. Don’t quit.
I’ll say it again:
Stay with God. Psalm 27:13-14 (MSG)
Wait patiently // Wait // Trust // Pray // Don't doubt
Romans 8:28 (ESV) And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Here are a few snaps from our busy weekend of finishing up the yard work and to get our current castle ready to sell.
The morning glories were gorgeous---and then I dutifully ripped them from the fence line to get it cleaned up and ready for the weed eater. I'll definitely miss our happy little garden!
Harvested the amaranth before mowing the garden down.
Left my chia in hopes that it will quickly go to seed before the house sells (although, I'm happy to sell sooner than that!).
