Time doesn't fly, it's perfect. Today I am thankful for my Bear!
I've never been one to say that I wish my kiddo would stay small forever, or that time flies too fast. Every day is a gift, every day is 24 hours just as God intended, and children grow at the perfect rate which God designed. 'Nuff said!
I love my kiddo and have always been excited to watch her grow. As far as I'm concerned she's already top-shelf and is well on her way to being an amazing grown-up-type person, and I am thrilled to know her. <3
The days are fleeting and there are fewer childhood days ahead of her than there are behind her, and I'm trying my best to capture those moments and let her enjoy as many frog hunts and mud puddles as her little heart wants. If she wants to name all the chickens a different name every day and be completely ridiculous like a little girl should be, so be it!.
Everywhere I look "tweens" are getting younger and younger. I hope we can keep her on track--no holding back--no jumping ahead. Plan for tomorrow; enjoy today. Embrace the age you're at.
And this song will always make me teary.
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ," Ephesians 5:15-21
