Tin, Glass, Wood
Mints! My diet is sugar-free, and I aim to keep my household sugar free as much as possible. We do love mints though, so it was getting a bit pricey to buy the healthy sugar-free mints (xylitol only, we don't use aspartame since it can cause headaches and a multitude of other ailments). I had previously tried a xylitol mint recipe, but it was a pain...then I discovered that one brand of pre-made mints was just chunks of xylitol hard candy--well that's a different story! So now I can easily make our own mints to keep on hand for a FRACTION of the cost. Some of those tins of mints can cost $6 or more! And one batch of homemade mints makes at least 4 tins' worth for much, much less. I won't go into the math here, but believe me, being able to make your own and save money are both valuable gifts!
Okay, this is a stretch for "glass," but it'll do (pig). I've been walking with my sis at work and there's this really cool POWERS CONTROL CENTER in the basement where we do laps. So I'm thankful for the gift of being able to walk--and also thankful for the gift of working at a place where we can take breaks to take a walk! And for this seriously cool POWERS CONTROL CENTER. Which makes me want to watch The City of Ember.
My dear sweet hubby working his tail off to get the firewood ready for burning. We were sold some "seasoned" wood that turned out to be very GREEN wood. Ugh! But the treasures gift here is my ever patient hubby.
Hi, I'm Kristi! Christ follower. Farmer's wife. Mom. Gardener. Artist.
I love to create surface design patterns and mandalas (and, and and...). You can find my work at the links below. We live on a little 20 acre farm in the middle of nowhere, and that's what I mostly like to blog about. Home, gardening, Jesus, cats. All my favorite things.

This is one of my most very popular designs. I love seeing my fabric on children's clothing and accessories. <3
