It's time for a little home tour! I'm going to break these posts up into little bites so as not to be one long overly-photo-heavy memoir.... :) ...... We had our mostly-unattended-due-to-the-weather open house a few weeks ago, so I had a chance to take some photos of my super tidy little home... I won't even for a moment try and pretend like our home is always tidy...nosireebob! We're humans who spend most of our actual awake-time away from home these days--most of our time at home during the week is spent leaving, arriving, and sleeping. Our REM cycles have been exchanged for quality time in a vehicle for 2 hours a day (more for my dear hubby who is the dropper-offer/picker-upper). So naturally, the weekend is where it's at when it comes to getting projects done (which explains the lack of projects documented on the blog thus far). But I digress... Okay, on to the tour... Here's our little living room (name that movie!). Here's a close up of just a few of my hoops. Some are my own fabric, some are from my collection of favorite fabrics I've acquired over the years, some are my embroideries, and I have a couple of 3-inch hoops from Ms. Merriweather herself. <3 I'll write a completely, overly-detailed and dramatic blog post about all my hoops sometime. (Oooh, the anticipation is building!) We inherited this lovely old entertainment center from the previous owner. We happily turned into a shoe rack and display shelf by the front door. Jon removed the doors and installed shelves. I decorated the inside back wall with printed burlap, and we added key and coat hooks inside and on the end (that you can't see in this pic). And a shot from the front door. We love our dual couches--one for us, one for the dogs. #dogpeople Challenge: Ignore the clutter and find something you LOVE about your home today! |

I love to create surface design patterns and mandalas (and, and and...). You can find my work at the links below. We live on a little 20 acre farm in the middle of nowhere, and that's what I mostly like to blog about. Home, gardening, Jesus, cats. All my favorite things. Welcome :) MY SHOPS
