Today I'm thankful for plants (and seed stores, and organic potting soil, and my clever husband).
Our parents have always gardened, and Jon knows quite a lot, but alas, none of my thumbs are green!
It's been enlightening to learn all the ins/outs/ups/downs of just getting my seedlings started. These babies are residing in my rec room until they're ready to rough it outside.
We managed a small garden a few years ago, and it was awesome. I'm excited about growing more and learning how to preserve. My mama always canned a lot when I was a kiddo, so now that we've got the room to grow things and a basement to store canned goods, I'm excited to dive in.
This sorrowful tub here is cauliflower...I hope! It didn't occur to me that I hadn't planted any until a few days ago...hoping to catch up--cauliflower is a staple at the castle!
Here's to new adventures every day! --KD
God spoke: “Earth, green up! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants,
Every sort of fruit-bearing tree.” And there it was.
Earth produced green seed-bearing plants, all varieties,
And fruit-bearing trees of all sorts.God saw that it was good.
It was evening, it was morning--Day Three.
Hi, I'm Kristi! Christ follower. Farmer's wife. Mom. Gardener. Artist.
I love to create surface design patterns and mandalas (and, and and...). You can find my work at the links below. We live on a little 20 acre farm in the middle of nowhere, and that's what I mostly like to blog about. Home, gardening, Jesus, cats. All my favorite things.

This is one of my most very popular designs. I love seeing my fabric on children's clothing and accessories. <3
