A gift at 11:30, 2:30, and 6:30...
Lunch, an afternoon walk, and getting HOME. All three are gifts for sure. A gift broken, fixed, thrifted... Broken...can't really think of anything broken other than the cabinet I already blogged about. Perhaps something UNBROKEN...so few broken things during the move. Such a blessing! As for fixed...our old faithful couch, which was also thrifted many years ago is going to get a makeover soon. So excited to set up our new home! As for thrifted...most of our furniture IS already thrifted. It's a HUGE blessing to be able to get necessities and wants from local thrift stores. I'd much rather paint and fix something old and make it new than to spend tons of money on new things. Three surprise gifts--unexpected grace! Our new neighbors stopped by yesterday with a cake. How sweet! (Literally.) Red velvet and full of gluten and sugar. I'm sure Jon will enjoy it. :) Hmmmm...unexpected surprise gifts....found an old coffee can half full of bacon grease under our sink yesterday! Ha! Celia had put a bunch of paper towels under there for me the first day we moved in and I hadn't gotten down there to rearrange them yet--now I have a place to pour grease. It's the little things that thrill me most of all. ;) Also, our realtor sent us a gift card for Olive Garden. Not that I eat out ever. I suppose I can go sit with Jon and watch him eat sometime. :) |
