Our planned 3-day weekend turned into a 4-day weekend, thanks to the gorgeous snow! I was able to get a ton of things on my to-do list done, which resulted in about a million more things being put on my to-do list. It's amazing how many projects beget projects beget projects... But seriously, snow!
15th .. Losing, finding, making I still maintain that I typed in the right address, but... I ordered some burlap through Amazon last week for a project...and, well, I didn't receive it, because *somebody* put in the wrong address. Oops! So that's my LOST ..but I FOUND some even better fabric at Hobby Lobby for a good price and was able to get to the MAKING...which involved reupholstering my seriously old couch this weekend. It still needs some work and when I get a sewing machine I'll make some arm covers and work on the cushion covers too. But all in all I'm excited and pleased with how it turned out. It's just those extra little things that are turning into our little castle into home. <3 16th .. Gifts in shadows... Three gifts in shadows...let's see if I can limit myself to just posting 3 of the gorgeous shadow pics I took on our walk out in our snowy field... We found such amazing animal tracks. It will be fun to learn which animals are leaving the cool tracks around us! My beautiful little pond in evening shadows. The designs in the ice were beyond cool. (haha pun) Shadows and sun flares and sunset and ...sigh...happiness! 17th .. Gifts found in giving/serving This one is easy! We've been volunteering at church for almost a year and a half now...I just love it! We've made some amazing friends and met some amazing people just through volunteering. I work at the kids check-in counter so I get to see all the littles every week--so fun! Then all the people watching. Yes, I'm watching you all! Friends, littles, people watching, listening to the sermon a second time. I'm sure Jon would say the biscuits and gravy days are his favorite gifts. ;) |
