January has been cold. Like SERIOUSLY COLD. Due to a bit of sickness and a bit of chunky, crunchy un-cleared back roads I ended up being home for an entire week--save a quick jaunt to the local church on Sunday. I cannot say I was sad at all to not be in a vehicle. Home is my heart language--and my spine really appreciated skipping two hours of riding in a car every day (Six days a week! More if we go anywhere on Saturdays). I dare say the castle is almost...dare I actually say it... manageably clean. Say what!? Now, don't go dusting shelves with Q tips, but for the moment, we're keeping up fairly well. I'm praying we can keep up our good habits when spring hits and all we want to do is BE OUTSIDE! I built a little fort on the back porch for our kitties and the stray kitty who keeps showing up. This will be fun to laundry come Saturday when everything melts. *eek* I've been trying to remember to take care of my little window garden babies. They're in the chilly Wreck Room, so I've been keeping a heat lamp going---gotta say they REALLY like that lamp. Winter is filled with excessive kitto snuggles. Here's to a beautiful new year, zero goals, and taking it day by day. -KD |
Hi, I'm Kristi! Christ follower. Farmer's wife. Mom. Gardener. Artist.
I love to create surface design patterns and mandalas (and, and and...). You can find my work at the links below. We live on a little 20 acre farm in the middle of nowhere, and that's what I mostly like to blog about. Home, gardening, Jesus, cats. All my favorite things. Welcome :) MY SHOPS
