One of my favorite new "games" is finding out what's growing around the farm. We moved into the castle in the bleak mid-winter, so it's very exciting to find buds and blossoms abounding. I took this first photo back in the spring, and we thought we had a cherry blossom tree... turns out it's a plum tree! After much google research I found out that cherry blossoms have indented petals while plum blossoms are rounded with no indention. Who knew!? I took these photos last week. Tiny plums! And they're starting to get some color to them too. <3 Can't wait to see how big they get and if they're actual edible plums or if they'll become chicken food! |
