Romans 5:17 ESV
For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
We will reign in life
We are more than conquerors
He leads us in his triumph
Galatians 5:4 ESV
You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
You can't keep laws to please God
Jesus did enough, you don't have a list of rules to keep
You don't let one finger to take the load away
We aren't saved by self justification
Romans 6:14 ESV
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
Romans 7:1-4, 6 ESV
Or do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress. Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.
Jesus was innocent, he never sinned
Galatians 2:20 ESV
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another
Now we can be the bride of Christ and bear fruit for God
Galatians 3:21
The law can't produce righteousness
It just shows you where you're wrong
Jesus imparts life
Fruit of the spirit comes from relationship with Jesus and the hs
Jesus is the way. We don't need a way to the way.
Hebrews the law made nothing perfect
We are not under law, we are under grace
We have been delivered from bandage
Satan accuses the saints day and night
Accuser
There is no condemnation for those in Christ
Colossians, it sounds religious, but it's of no value
We don't have to impress God, Jesus did it for us
Your relationship with God isn't about your performance
Romans 8, we don't know how to pray
Freedom from the law
There's no fault in our lamb
No guilt
Ephesians 1, accepted in the Son he loves
We are not worthy, Jesus is worthy
Blessings are not a reward for good behavior
Don't take away from the glory of Christ
John Bunyan
It does not depend on (my frame) how I feel at the moment
Come into his presence with thanksgiving
I'm not impressed with me but I'm very impressed with Jesus
Hebrews, priests never sat down, but Jesus at down (because the work was done)
